Irene Cujko
Prior to joining Mortgage Choice in 2001, I held the position of Branch Manager of one of Australia's leading banks.
Since becoming a franchisee with Mortgage Choice, I have never looked back! I particularly enjoy working on complicated loans that put the grey matter to good use, and consider myself expert in dealing with clients that are interested in Professional Packages, Multiple Securities, Unit & Discretionary Trusts and other complex loan Scenarios. I have also diversified into car finance and general insurances.
I graduated from The University of Sydney with a BA majoring in Economics and Politics. Not wishing to stagnate, I have continued my studies taking on subjects such as Commercial Banking & Finance and Finance Law. I am also a Senior Associate Member of the Australian Institute of Bankers.
In 2009, I was awarded National Mentor of the Year by Mortgage Choice, and continue to train loan consultants new to the franchise. Below is what Mortgage Choice has to say about me:

Serge Cujko
My background is predominantly in the manufacturing industry, and before Mortgage Choice came into our lives, I held various senior technical positions with both local and multinational manufacturers .
My years spent in the manufacturing industry, has instilled in me an approachable and patient manner, which has been to my benefit in the finance industry, none more so when dealing with clients who are borrowing to buy their first home.
For the most part, I specialise in general home and investment loans, refinance, commercial lending, as well as, car finance; a recent addition to the Mortgage Choice portfolio in 2010.
I understand and empathise that for many the purchase of a home or investment property is the largest financial commitment ever taken. Selecting the right mortgage can save thousands of dollars over the term of a loan. Because of this, ‘health checks' are recommended; just as a car needs a tune-up, a home loan needs reviewing.

I joined Irene and Serge's team in July 2007 as a Loan Administrator and am also known as a "MORTGAGE ANGEL ", graduating from the University of Life!
I foolishly thought that I was going to have a comfortable little job, but alas that was not to be, and am thankful for it, as it is far from tedious!
Having not come from the finance industry, the job spec at Mortgage Choice was totally alien to me. It is also a BIG job with lots of responsibility, none more so when helping people acquire a home loan; for many the biggest financial decision of their lives!
Three years down the road, I have become quite the expert in construction loans, where here in western Sydney, houses are being built like there is no tomorrow!
I enjoy working for Irene and being part of her team. The wonderful thing about working in a small office is that there's no office politics, hence I am able to give 110% to the job at hand. I also appreciate the fact that I continue to learn, as no two loans are ever the same. I love helping people through the difficult loan process; how people manage to do it without a broker I will never know!
Do I have job satisfaction? Indeed I do! I am very fortunate that Irene gave me the opportunity to work for Australia's major mortgage broker. I have the most wonderful boss, who I not only respect for her expertise but also for her pragmatic approach to business.
Julie Saker
I have 14 years experience in banking & finance and have worked for three of Australia's major banks . I have worn many hats over these years and have had dealings in small business lending, transactional banking, loan & security documentation preparation, merchant services technical assistance as in Efpos machines, and as a Personal Loan Underwriter.
I was lucky to be offered the job of Loan Administration aka Mortgage Angel with Irene as I was looking for a role that allowed me to be involved with something from fruition to completion, in this case, loans. During the course of the loan process, I am in constant contact with clients, which gives me the opportunity to get to know them, which is not something I have experienced in the past. This I enjoy very much, plus I must add, is working with a small friendly and cooperative team that put clients' interests first!
Last but not least, although I might have worn many hats, I actually don't like them as much as high heels and chocolate!
