A well-known local franchise owner for Australia's largest independently-owned mortgage broker, Mortgage Choice, has just received one of the highest industry honours for 2011 - an 'Excellence in Franchising' award for her personal and professional achievements.
Belinda Sugars from Mortgage Choice in Myrtle Bank, South Australia, won the Franchise Council of Australia's South Australian Franchise Woman of the Year award for her positive influence on other women, leadership, business achievements and contribution to franchising and her community.
She is now headed for the national awards on 11 October along with Victorian Mortgage Choice franchisee Anthony Smith (who is in the 2011 Franchisee of the Year (2 or more staff) category).
Mortgage Choice spokesperson Kristy Sheppard said, "Belinda's award is wonderful recognition for her dedication to the franchising and mortgage broking industries and her community. She is an inspiration to so many in our nationwide network - female and male - for passionately following her dreams and exceeding expectations."
