f you are purchasing a property it is sometimes confusing over when you can pick up your new keys and move in. If you are purchasing from vendors who live in the property then you should complete your final inspection on the morning of settlement to ensure they have moved out and your new home is in the same condition it was in before exchange of contracts. If there are any issues please at the final inspection ensure you let your conveyancer know. Any issues must be sorted before settlement as once you settle those problems will become your problems.
Once you have settled the selling agent will be advised by the vendors conveyancer that they can release the keys. The Keys will be able to be picked up from the agent after this unless alternate arrangements have been made.
