This quirky, one of a kind bar, located in the heart of Nundah, is a crowd favourite with locals and non-locals alike.
Nestled above the “Slightly Twisted Espresso Bar”, on the corner of Sandgate Road and Chapel Street, Fitz and Potts encapsulates everything you could want in a bar.
Unsurprisingly, they regularly feature on lists of Brisbane’s best bars, including The Urban List, Visit Brisbane and Gourmand and Gourmet. They were also crowned the winners of The Weekend Edition’s “Brisbane’s Best Bar Award” in 2016.
Fitz and Potts is truly unique, from their AstroTurf rooftop bar to their retro furnishings and wallpaper (think Dandy’s rooftop meets your Nanna’s house), this is a bar unlike any other you’ve been to. You’ll never forget where you are at Fitz and Potts as the atmosphere here is just like that of the rest of Nundah, hipster-cool without being obnoxious.
This welcoming atmosphere is likely due to the owners, Brett Fitzpatrick and Cassie Potts, and their incredible team, you feel as though you’re walking into someone’s home when you enter Fitz and Potts, not just a bar. With the goal of wanting to open an establishment in which they could truly showcase the best local craft beers, Australian wines and local produce, it’s safe to say that this dynamic duo has certainly delivered.
More than just a bar, they are open from 11am on Saturdays and Sundays for anyone looking to indulge in one of their incredible brunch boards featuring bagels, gourmet meats and sausages and that all important cheese. If lunch is more your style, they have a wide selection of crowd pleasers from jaffles to share platters and even goat pies.
If the night scene is more your style, you are sure to find something on their extensive drinks menu to suit your tastes. Whether you’re a beer drinker or prefer a glass of wine or cider, they cater to all. You’ll also find an extensive cocktail menu, from classics to the more out there creations, they even have seasonal cocktail specials to keep patrons happy year round.
