I couldn’t ask for better help

When Melbourne investor Melinda needed to refinance her loan, Mortgage Choice was there to take a weight off her shoulders.

I had held an investment property loan with the same bank for five years – it was a loan organised by a Mortgage Choice broker that a friend had referred me to.

Over the five-year period I had always made interest-only payments. However when the bank contacted me recently to say I was required to starting making principal plus interest payments, I was very concerned. I work full time but I'm not in a position to pay down part of the principal. When I explained this to the bank they refused to budge.

I returned again to my Mortgage Choice broker for help refinancing the loan, and I couldn't speak more highly of him. He was extremely professional – always calling me whenever he said he would, and keeping me informed every step of the way.

I really needed someone to guide me through the process of refinancing, and it took such a weight off my shoulders to have my broker talking to banks on my behalf.

Funnily enough, when my new loan was approved, my old bank kept phoning to ask why I was leaving, and I had to explain they simply weren't able to deliver what I wanted.

I'm very happy with the new loan – I'm paying an excellent rate, and thanks to my broker I'm still making interest-only payments.

My Mortgage Choice broker promised to look after me, and his follow-up service has been wonderful. When the first loan statement arrived my broker reviewed it thoroughly to make sure everything was in order.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mortgage Choice. I really couldn't ask for anyone better than my broker.
