If you do find yourself with some time on your hands, it may be worthwhile considering getting stuck into some online courses.
A new direction could make all the difference
If you are looking to take control and change career, now may be a good time to consider what valuable skills you may be able to learn and perhaps take a leap into a new career?
Or if you are still working, maybe it’s time to pause and consider filling in the gaps of your existing role and come out of the other side of the pandemic more skilled than before?
Whatever your objective, developing the right skillset could help you find a new job and increase your chances of being employable - which is particularly important during times of economic downturn.
Where to start? Here is a list of resources offering free courses.
The prevalence of online learning means there’s no shortage of courses that can be taken from the comfort of your own home.
If you’ve been looking for a way to use this downtime as a chance to invest in yourself, we’ve created a short list of some free resources we found. And, while it’s not a full list of courses out there, it may provide you with some inspiration and act as a good starting point.
Some of these courses have a time limit though, so be sure to check out the fine print and eligibility criteria:
