The following table outlines the fees and charges that are applicable to the Mortgage Choice Platinum Card, whether your card is linked to your mortgage or operates as a standalone credit card.

Minimum credit limit


Minimum repayments

2.5% of the closing balance (rounded up to the nearest dollar) or $50, whichever is greater. If the closing balance is less than $50, you must pay the full closing balance.

Interest on purchases

19.99% p.a.

Intro rate

5.90% p.a. on purchases for the first 14 months[4] and no annual fee for the life of the home loan. Conditions apply.

Interest-free period

Up to 55 days on purchases only, which applies only if your account is paid in full by the due date each month (including any balance transfers)

Balance transfer interest rate

0% p.a. on balance transfers for 14 months from card approval, which will then revert to the standard variable interest rate for purchases

0% p.a. on balance transfers for 9 months from card approval, which will then revert to the standard variable interest rate for purchases

Waived for primary and additional cardholder

$99 for the primary cardholder for the first year, then $129 ongoing

$29 for each additional cardholder

Information Request Fee


Cash Advance Fee

$5 or 3% of the value of the transaction, whichever is the greater, applies to each cash advance made on your account, debited to your account at the time of the cash advance.

International Transaction Fee

An international transaction fee of 3% of the total amount of the transaction applies for transactions made or processed outside Australia (including where the transaction was made in Australia but the merchant is not in Australia). The total fee amount debited to your Account will be shown on your statement.

Over the Counter Transaction Fee

A $2 fee applies for each payment made at Australia Post outlets by cash, cheque, or EFTPOS, debited to your account when the payment is credited to your account.

Overlimit Fee

A $30 fee applies if the balance of your account exceeds your credit limit at any time during a statement period and you have provided your consent to incur a fee related to this service. This amount will: (a) be debited to your account at the time your account first exceeds your credit limit during a statement period (b) be debited to your account on the first day of each subsequent statement period(s) that your account continues to exceed your credit limit.

Dishonour Fee

$10 each time a payment to your account is dishonoured, debited to your account at the time of dishonour.

Late Payment Fee

$35 per statement period if all amounts due are not paid by the payment due date, debited to your account within five business days of the payment due date.

Voucher Request Fee

$8 per requested sales receipt provided by a third party, debited to your account at the time of the request (refunded if a dispute is resolved in your favour).

Paper Statement Fee

$2.50 per statement issued


There may be circumstances in which you have to pay other fees. You can only be charged a fee exceeding your credit limit if you separately agree to being charged that fee.
