Q: What does a mortgage broker do?

A: A mortgage broker is a finance specialist. They can help you with all types of finance enquiry from buying your first home to refinancing, from upgrading your house to accommodate a growing family, to buying an investment property.

In addition to home lending, we can also assist with vehicle finance, personal loans and business lending.

A mortgage broker will take into account your personal situation, needs and wants, and put together a lending package that is right for you.

 

Q: Once we’ve discussed my situation, what then?

A: Your broker will put the application together for you and submit it to the lender for approval, including communicating with real estate agents/ builders/ solicitors (if relevant) to ensure the process runs smoothly.

 

Q: Where is the money I’m lending coming from?

A: At Mortgage Choice, we acts as an agent for some of the biggest banks, credit unions and lenders across the country including the ‘Big 4’ banks along with Suncorp, Bankwest, ING Direct and many more (over 20 different lending options in total). We are assisting you in applying for finance through these lenders rather than you trying to make sense of it all on your own.

 

Q: What’s in it for me?

Q: What’s in it for you?

A: At Mortgage Choice, once your loan has been approved and settlement has happened, the lender will pay Mortgage Choice, who in turn pay myself for a job well done. This includes an ‘up front’ fee initially, and then a trailing commission for the life of the loan.

These fees/ commissions are not added to, or a part of the loan you have taken out. Rather, the cost is paid by that lender as a result of myself bringing them a new client they may not have otherwise had.
