RBA Cash Rate Decision – June 2013
The Reserve Bank has left the cash rate on hold at 2.75% this week; the lowest in more than 50 years. In his statement, RBA Governor Glen Stevens indicated the possibility of further cuts, saying “the inflation outlook, as currently assessed, may provide some scope for further easing, should that be required to support demand”.
Household Budgeting for Home Owners:
Now is a great time to review your household budget:
1) Review your home loan rate. Can you get a better rate?
2) Despite interest rate cuts, consider keeping your repayments at the higher, pre-cut level and help repay your home loan sooner.
3) Avoid added stresses – A major cause of repayment headaches is the mindset that renovations and/or furnishings are must-have items following a property purchase.
4) Consider booking in for an annual home loan health check with me to see how your home loan stacks up against other products currently available. If your personal circumstances have changed, you may now be eligible for a wider range of products and/or discounts.
Outings in the Redlands:
From the 14th to the 16th June, Cleveland will host the first Ignite Redlands Light Arts Festival featuring light projections, arts, crafts and live entertainment aimed at all ages.
