When I'm out socially and someone asks me what I do, I'm proud to tell them I'm a Mortgage Choice Mortgage Broker. Helping people achieve their property goals is wonderfully rewarding and I'm always happy to talk about it. So I thought here on my page I'd run through some of the common questions people ask me.
What does it cost to use a Mortgage Broker?
There is no charge for our home loanservice as the lenders pay us rather than the client. At Mortgage Choice, the only thing that matters to us is the home loan that’s right for you. As a Mortgage Choice broker, I get paid the same rate regardless of which home loan you choose from our wide choice of lenders.
Are Mortgage Brokers aligned with a particular lender?
When we review loans for a client, we review loans from the broadest range of lenders including the banks.
How does the service work?
The process is straight-forward:
- An initial consultation gives me an insight into the client's lending needs, expectations and property goals.
- I take that understanding and assess it against a suite of loan products form a range of lenders.
- I present the client with loan options and answer questions to help them make the decision on which loan is right for them.
- The loan is then managed and monitored from electronic submission through to settlement to ensure a timely turn-around.
How do people make the right loan choice?
The service itself is designed to make a very important decision as simple as possible for the client. We assist by providing clear, accurate information about the loan products most suited to the client's needs and answering all client queries relating to the intricate details, outcomes and variations of the loan.

How do people choose one Mortgage Broker over another?
Obviously experience counts. I've been a professional Mortgage Broker for more than 5 years, with a history in finance prior to that. It also makes sense to use a Broker with the backing and resources of Mortgage Choice.
Then it comes down to rapport. You want someone who understands you and your property goals. Someone willing to do the leg work and follow up with the lenders to keep things moving. You also need someone you can call to answer any question, even when that question pops into your head at 8.30pm at night.
