If you are purchasing a new home in Tasmania, you may be eligible for the First Home Owner Grant (FHOG) of up to $20,000. You must reside in the home as your principal place of residence for a continuous period of 6 months, within 12 months of completion of your purchase. For transactions entered into after 1 July 2018, the FHOG payment will be reverted back to $10,000.
What is the FHBB
The First Home Builder Boost (FHBB) is an increased First Home Owner Grant payment available to eligible builders and buyers of new homes. Contracts entered into from 1 January 2016 will be eligible for a $10,000 grant.
