A $25,000 grant is up for grabs until 31 December 2020 to eligible applicants who are building new homes or completing major renovations and fit the criteria. There are restrictions on the value of the property, cost of the renovation or build and incomes of the applicants, so talk to our Springwood team for more info.
The First Home Owner Grant is a lump sum of cash available to first home owners to help with the cost of buying a first home or vacant land to build a home on. The Grant doesn’t have to be repaid, and it’s not taxable, but there are strings attached. Give us a call to find out whether the grant will fit your situation.
Stamp duty, a tax imposed on real estate purchases, is a bit more complicated and has different rules around what you can avoid paying. Our Springwood mortgage brokers can help you calculate what exemptions or concessions on stamp duty you’ll be eligible for depending on the value of your property.
The First Home Loan Deposit Scheme allows first home owners to pay as little as 5% property deposit and avoid paying Lenders Mortgage Insurance. The government is basically acting as guarantor for those home buyers who are approved, and only certain lenders have been selected by the government to offer this incentive. To find out more, speak to our team for south of Brisbane, Logan and Springwood areas.
The First Home Buyer Super Saver Scheme allows buyers to withdraw voluntary superannuation contributions they have made to their super fund and put this money towards a deposit on a property. Find out more by speaking to our Springwood mortgage broker team today.
