…..a little about Mudgeeraba
The village of Mudgeeraba was established around the timber and cattle industries and a main railway station between Brisbane and the Tweed until this line closed in 1961.* It has maintained its rural village feel and as of the 2011 census supports a population of 13, 204.
Mudgeeraba is located immediately west of Robina and only 8km from Burleigh Heads.
Its closeness to both the beaches of Burleigh, Miami and Broadbeach and the Springbrook hinterland makes this suburb very attractive to young families.
Schools in Mudgeeraba include Mudgeeraba State, Mudgeeraba Creek State, Mudgeeraba Special School, Clover Hill State and Somerset College.
The extensive parkland and sporting fields sees a hive of activity in Mudgeeraba on the weekends with junior sports. The clubs include Mudgeeraba Redsox baseball team, Mudgeeraba Redbacks rugby league team, Mudgeeraba Netball, Mudgeeraba soccer club. There is also a local swimming pool, bowls club, golf course and a very popular Parkrun.
Mudgeeraba has two main shopping centres in Mudgeeraba Markets and Bell Central that not only accommodate our office, Mortgage Choice in Mudgeeraba, but also the major chains of Woolworths and Coles.
Mudgeeraba community continues to celebrate its rural roots each year with the Mudgeeraba Show at the local showgrounds. This spectacular runs over three days and is a highlight for tourists and locals alike. These showgrounds are used by the local pony club as well as other fairs throughout the year.
