He begins the mortgage broking process by gaining an insight into his customers’ current circumstances and goals. ‘By taking the time to get to know my customers and what their needs are, I can provide a holistic solution for them,’ he says. ‘I like to place myself into their situation so I can work with them at a more personal, individualised level.’
With 18 years’ experience in the banking and finance industry, John’s broad industry knowledge is an asset for his clients. Prior to commencing with Mortgage Choice, he spent 17 years at the Commonwealth Bank. ‘As a Relationship Executive for the Gippsland region, I worked with a variety of businesses across broad industry groups, from healthcare to horticulture, servicing their home loan, business loan and asset finance needs,’ John says. ‘Before that I was a Relationship Executive in the broker area, managing customers who had been introduced by the various brokers.’ During his time with the bank, John was consistently recognised for providing great customer service.
John’s professional expertise means he’s adept at identifying the loan products that are the right fit for each client, taking into consideration their present and future requirements. ‘I am also well-versed in translating what a customer wants and needs to a lender, and I act as a conduit between the customer and the various institutions to make the process as smooth as possible.’
John specialises in arranging home, investment and business loans and asset finance. While currently based in Melton, South Melbourne & Gisborne, he provides a fully mobile service across the entire Western region.
