If there's one thing Mortgage Choice at Sutherland understands this year, it's the stress and hassle of moving.
The process of changing ofices after 10 years on Princes HWY, Sutherland, to the old, badly in need of TLC suite of offices just around the corner in Flora Street began during the Christmas break, when we scoped out what was available and reseached rental prices in the area.
The hard work came in Feb / March when we spent every spare hour in the new place, painting, adding new walls, demolishing old fixtures etc... Not to mention the fact that we now know more about IKEA products than its staff.
And those of you who read our facebook page (www.facebook.com/MortgageChoiceAt Sutherland) will know that our Easter entry to the new place was a complete disaster because it took our phone supplier 30 -odd days to give us internet access.
Five months on - and not a day of business missed - we are settling into our new space. And ready to blog more frequently.
We've tried to strike a balance between professional office space and home. We do spend a lot of our week there, so homely is good. We've also designed the office to be more client friendly with comfortable seating options, large screen presentation of your data, hot and cold refreshments and a very child friendly play area.
And we know the frustration of not quite finishing everything as quickly as you want. Life gets in the way. So our entrance is definitely not finished and we still have to do something about the lighting. Hopefully we'll be good to go by Christmas.
