The cost of surviving...
Breast Cancer affects thousands of Australian women each year. And whilst many women diagnosed have great chances for survival, the financial burden they face during treatment can have a significant and ongoing impact on their lives.
In a submission by the Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA)3 it was revealed that individuals bear over 40% of the financial cost of their cancer and on average, a 35-year-old woman with breast cancer faces up to $40,300 in out-of-pocket expenses and lost productivity.
