Is buying a home the perfect way to buy a home?

Buying a home may be the perfect way to… buy a home.

Brisbane’s west is rapidly becoming the place to be for affordable living and houses still under $300k.

Realestate.com.au rates Ellen Grove as an area in high demand with 3 bedroom homes at a median price of $263,500, renting at around $310 pw and turning heads with First Home buyers and Rentvesters.

Conveniently located 26 kms from Ipswich and an amazing 24.5 kms from Brisbane, means city workers are only about a 30 minute drive from home with employment hubs in all directions.

There is a range of state and private schools in the area and a small local shopping centre for the day to day items.  Nearby Forest Lake has the major shopping centre with Springfield and Brookwater close by.

Remember these are older houses so be prepared for a bit of renovation but your weekly savings should see plenty of room in the budget. Don’t be surprised if you are looking at original timber floors and larger blocks that might allow the addition of a ‘man cave’, a granny flat or a pool one day.

It really is worth considering the move to a suburb that wouldn’t ordinarily be on your radar.  It might allow you to save for the house of your dreams.  And when you do - who knows - this one might end up being your first investment property.

Whatever you do, think outside the square.

Possibly consider LMI and guarantors to help you step on to the property ladder and then call to Mortgage Choice in Robina on 07 5562 0748 to make an appointment.
