Vicki Wisely

In 1980 a developer from Singapore, Robin Loh, purchased approximately 20 square kilometres of grazing land, west of Broadbeach on the Gold Coast.

In 2001 development began on the new suburb called Robina and it would quickly become one of the Gold Coast’s fastest growing suburbs and one of Australia’s most successfully planned communities.

Built around three lakes (Robina Waters, Lake Orr and West Lake), the Master Planning ensures a living-style for whatever stage of life you happen to be at.

From studio apartments to penthouse suites, single storey brick or magnificent mansion, chic townhouse and convenient duplex, over 50’s living or fully assisted nursing homes.  Its all here in stylish Robina and the surrounding suburbs, where everyone lives near parklands, playgrounds, walking and bike tracks.

Robina has evolved to be a sophisticated retreat for anyone seeking lifestyle and convenience on their doorstep. You are only ever 10-15 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Surfers Paradise, the World Famous Beaches and Waterways, the Gold Coast Airport or the serenity of the Hinterland.  One hour north will take you to Queensland’s city of Brisbane, or south to rub shoulders with the famous folk in Byron Bay, perhaps venture west to relax in the mountains at the Lamington National Park or a Rainforest Day Spa.

Not surprisingly data indicates there is a high demand for living in Robina (both buying and renting).

Median sales prices for Houses are around $559,000 and rising.  Rent is approximately $415pw giving a yield of 4.8%.

Median Sales Prices for Units are around $395,000 with rent approximately $520pw giving a yield of around 5.6%

Location, Location, Location - paramount in an emerging hub. The Pacific Motorway (M1) connects Robina north to Brisbane via the northern suburbs of the Gold Coast and south into New South Wales.

Robina Train Station and Robina Bus Interchange, ensures connection to Brisbane City and both Brisbane International and Domestic airports plus bus services connecting travellers to all other parts of Gold Coast City, Hinterland and Northern NSW. Robina has also been listed in the future extensions of the Gold Coast Rapid Transit system (draft released by the Gold City Council). It’s no wonder that Robina has 270,000 visits per week!

With a choice of six childcare centres, two schools and Bond University, which attracts a large number of Australian and International students, Robina offers the full range of schooling.
