THE 37TH ANNUAL SYDNEY GAY AND LESBIAN MARDI GRAS PARADE

Sydney Mardi Gras is the world's most joyous and spectacular celebration of LGBTQI pride. Sydney Mardi Gras attracts over 20,000 interstate and international visitors each year, who enjoy a diverse and exciting line-up of events as well as soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying the iconic surroundings of Sydney and New South Wales.

There is no more perfect combination of passion and people than The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade. Every year, hundreds of thousands of spectators from all over the world bring the city to a standstill as they cheer on a jaw dropping parade of 10,000 fabulous people.

Growing out of a single night of political protest, the Parade has become an all encompassing expression of LGBTQI identity.

This dizzying spectacle flows like a river of queer humanity, switching effortlessly between sexy satire and from high brow to sequinned eyebrow. Tying it all together is an overarching sense of love and a joyous celebration of the hard won freedom to be whoever you are.

Watch It.

Enjoy the Parade in comfort from one of our two viewing areas – Parade Sideshow and The Diamond Club, or find yourself a spot on along the street. Make sure you arrive early (and prepared) to experience one of the world’s most memorable Parades.

Work It.

The Parade runs on the generosity and passion of two thousand volunteers. There are plenty of roles available, and we’ll even reward you for your talent and time. Be one of the stars that make it all happen! Find out how HERE.
