Maylands is a beautiful and unique suburb located on the Swan River, about five kilometres from the Perth CBD and bordered by Mount Lawley, East Perth and Bayswater. It is approximately six square kilometres in size, featuring 12 parks, and many community groups and attractions, including the Maylands Peninsula Public Golf Course, the RISE, Maylands Yacht Club, Maylands Tennis Club, Maylands Cricket Club, and the Historic Peninsula Hotel.

Maylands contains an eclectic mix of architecture, including brand-new riverside mansions, 1960s-70s apartments and homes, post-war red-brick stalwarts and stately Victorian and Edwardian brick villas. The population in 2011 had risen to 12,346, with households primarily consisting of childless couples repaying between $1,800 - $2,400 in mortgage payments.

Currently the median sales price of houses in Maylands is $590,000, down from an impressive $679, 500 in March 2016.
