Second time I have used Mortgage Choice Broker Todd Haffner. Excellent service, timely and takes all the stress out of dealing with the banks. Tod is extremely helpful and cant do enough for you. I wish I had started using Todd years ago. Cant recommend him highly enough.

Customers have to realise that sometimes it may take longer to have new loans and contracts set up because the adviser needs to seek and and get approval for the best deal.

PS: I only received a telephone call from the original lender (Commonwealth Bank) once the decision had been made to change finance providers ( I responded that I use a broker because I don\'t understand finance.) That was disappointing on the part of the C\'wealth Bank.

We were in South Africa until almost a week before settlement date and during this time we were not always easy to contact. However, Todd (and Tanya Skidmore the Client Liaison Manager) made sure as much was done as possible before we left on our holiday and all was well organised and in place when we got back to Australia.
We felt they did a good job and went the extra mile even being contactable on weekends and late at night to fit in with our times.

While recently refinancing my home loan, Todd\'s level of service, as usual, exceeded expectations :). I liked the fact the he followed up with me without it ever feeling like he was hassling me (I can be forgetful and drop the ball a bit midway through a process) and that he followed up with me once settlement went through to let me know I could ask him any questions on aspects of my new financial arrangements that I was uncertain about.

I'd been looking at fixing my loan for a while, but hadn't noticed an attractive enough rate on the market. The Smartline report alerted me to 3 year fixed rates under 6%, so I contacted Todd and the application process started straight away as the rate was only on offer for that week. He gave great advice and as I had bought the property with my brother, Todd helped us set up a loan that gave us both more flexibility with future investments and also the ability to decide on and make our own extra contributions. Todd was excellent as usual, he gave me all the help and advice i needed, and he was easily contactable. He provided me with answers and solutions to all my questions and issues that arrose throughout proccess promptly and was very positive and informative.

The process went quite smoothly until the end when somehow part of a package of the documentation "went astray". A complete copy of the docs was kept and although a copy of the missing pages was able to be emailed/provided there was an insistance for new original copy to be executed - thus ultimately causing a delayed settlement and ultimately incurring $1040 late payment interest costs to the vendor. I was invited to make a submission however looking towards a realistic reply from the bank in the negative - decided to not waste my time especially when I was advised that somehow by having to pay $1040 that I really only incurred $250 - $300 actual cost (how I do not understand!) and any settlement offer would most likely be related to that sort of a figure. An unfortunate situation however so long as the little guy pays it keeps consistency with what one is accustomed to. I also found it quite ironic that in the same few days that my settlement payment was being delayed an announcement of the NAB half yearly profits was also made, really rubbed the salt in!
