Caleb Langelaan has many years’ experience in the property and finance industries. As well as running his own home improvements business, he’s held a variety of roles in property development, site acquisition, real estate and as a loan writer with a big-four bank. This broad industry experience has equipped him with an in-depth understanding of the complexities of the lending process. ‘I can guide customers through the maze of financing or buying a home or building with absolute confidence, because I’ve been there and done that, both as an individual and in a business capacity.’
With a focus on providing excellent customer service right from the initial consultation through to settlement and beyond, Caleb strives to build a personal connection with his customers. ‘It’s important that they can feel comfortable discussing financial details with me, so I like to sit down with them, get to know them and understand their personal goals, wants and needs,’ he says. ‘From there I can create a detailed needs analysis and assess what’s going to be the right solution for them from the myriad products we have available.’
He supports his clients in their decision-making, clearly explaining the differences between suggested loan policies so they can make an informed choice. ‘I then make sure the application is as smooth and easy as possible,’ he says. ‘All the stress and grunt-work of dealing with the banks, I take care of. The less my customer has to deal directly with the bank, the better.’
Great communication is at the core of Caleb’s service offering. ‘Communication is important because for the customer, not knowing what’s going on with their application can be a worse experience than being declined. I receive a lot of referrals because my customers are so happy with my proactive approach to communication.’
As an ex-pro swimmer, Caleb says his strong work ethic and results-oriented attitude stem from years of intensive training. ‘Throughout my career, my approach has always been to put in the hard work and stay focused on the prize,’ he says. ‘Where that relates to home loans is you only want to submit the application once, so I’m really focused on getting the details perfect and doing all the necessary prep work to get it right first time.’
Caleb specialises in assisting with home loans (including first home buyers), investment loans, renovation and construction loans and debt consolidation. He lives on the Sunshine Coast and offers a fully mobile service extending down to Brisbane.
When he’s not working, Caleb enjoys the active Sunshine Coast lifestyle. ‘I am involved in the local swim club and surf club and enjoy spending time with my family on our wonderful beaches.’
