David and the Smartline Team went above and beyond to ensure that our refinancing was settled, a guarantor loan paid out, funds released for renovations, a caveat removed and actually placing us in a better place financially week to week.

He assisted us in understanding the maze of building contracts and plans as well as dealing directly with our builders on occasion to expedite quicker movement. There is a great deal of details and fine print involved in buying a home. Having a good broker can really make the whole process smoother and alot less daunting. For me, buying a house without a broker would be like going to court without a lawer. David baker really made us feel alot more assured that we were getting the information we really needed. I would never contemplate getting a loan without contacting David Baker first.

Our adviser (David Baker)did a fantastic job helping us find the right loan to suit our needs. We had a few curve balls to throw at him and a bit of a tricky loan for him to sort out. He great job dealing with it, while reaming in contact with us and keeping us in the loop though the whole process. Was a pleasure to to business with.

This is the third loan I have done with David (the first at Smartline). What continually impresses me with David is his ability to take on a tricky situation and negotiate on my behalf with a bank to make it work. This loan in particular had a huge number of variables that I am certain would have made any other adviser run and hide. With David though, it's like he sees it as a personal challenge. I was in a very tricky financial situation, and frankly, Dave's persistence and ability to get me a fantastic deal has been a significant factor in me recovering from that bad position. Everyone tells you that their mortgage broker is the best. In my experience, this is usually because they have just discovered the benefits brokers have, not because they have made any sort of genuine comparison. I have dealt with other advisors and spoken to a number of friends who have used others, and when I compare all of these experiences, nobody comes close to providing the level of commitment and expertise that Dave does. When I tell people that my guy is the best, this is based on an experience and informed opinion. As long as Dave Baker is at Smartline, you have my business and my assurance that I will recommend you guys to any person I know looking to arrange finance. I cannot speak highly enough of the service Smartline has provided me. Great job!

Hi, great service and I'd recommend you guys. However after buying my house I'm not really enjoying living in it that much. The neighbours are exceptionally noisy and last night I was kept up until the wee hours again. They also have a loud dog which wasn't around during the inspections. The real estate agent also didnt answer truthfully about the airconditioner being broken and other details eg. noise and neighbours. Also I feel the building inspection report that I got done by an inspector recommended by my broker was overly optimistic. A lot of this is due to my inexperience but today I'm thinking hmmm how long before I can resell and move somewhere I'd like to live in or should I rent it out. Such concerns are outside Smartline's mission statement however.
We believe that David went over and above what you would expect. He found us a deal then found a bettre deal and did not hesitate to start the process again. His communication was excellent as was his help in any matters that came up that we did not understand. We would recommend Smartline in a heart beat. Thank you David.
