Would be helpful if there was an interactive spreadsheet to understand the calculations behind the loan proposals would be helpful so I can also play around with these amounts. For example if a loan proposal was done for amounts of $500 and $550, but I wanted to know how much the figures would be for a specific number like $535 I'd have to email the broker to re-run the numbers and send me a new update rather than just plug it in myself.

This was not a routine purchase; my wife and I live in Canberra, David lives in Melbourne and the property purchase was in Brisbane. In addition, there were two other properties that had to be valued by the bank and the purchase was conducted over Christmas when many enitities operate with reduced staff. Despite this complexity, once again David worked with a great sense of purpose, his attention to our needs was incredibly prompt and he communicates (by phone and email) with great clarity. He is direct without being forceful or pushy and I expect we were able to achieve timely and relatively stress-free results because of David\'s ability to influence other stakeholders involved in the purchase. Once again we are very grateful for David\'s support.

David had provided a loan for my wife and I in the past and we had no hesitation in seeking David's services a second time around. Once again he did a great job, again it was an interstate purchase (David is in Melbourne, we are in Canberra and the purchase was in Perth) but he managed things extremely well. This was a notable achievement not only due to the distances involved but the purchase involved a leaseback to the seller (Defence Housing Australia) but David was able to recognise the 'intracacies' of the arrangement and worked with the Settlement Agent to ensure a seamless process.
We hit some serious and unforseen set backs when we initally tried to buy a house, David was there for us through all of this time, not only helping us fix the situation, but was also honest and open about what options we had available to us. He helped us finally purchase our first home in March by working with us to find a lender that suited our needs.
David is a pleasure to deal with, and my wife and I would not even contemplate using any other adviser. Cheers Alan

I wish to highlight that, despite not have a functional laptop to start with, David has been providing me with very helpful and timely advices. As well, David played an important role in the smooth settlement of my first home (which could have been easily done pear-shaped otherwise). His professionalism outpaces any other mortgage advisers that I have encountered in the past. I really appreciate his help and would certainly recommend him to family and friends.

Suggestion for Improvement- I had not heard of Smartline, but was referred by a colleague. If it hadn't have been for David's approach as outlined below, I probably would not have used your company.... very glad I did though!

It is clear that David has extensive experience in the industry. He provided regular contact, keeping us fully informed as to where the loan application stood and what to expect as we walked through the process. When there was conflicting advice/information between the Agent, the conveyancing company and what David was advising, it was David who was always right.
We have used Smartline three times now and every time its been a worry free process.

Dave referred us to a great conveyancer which was quite valuable. Some of the loan docs form the lender[heritage] are difficult to read. They should be reviewed and pressure put on them to tidy them up.
