As an experienced finance professional, Helen brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and professionalism to her Mortgage Choice clients.
Helen is a mortgage broker who truly understands the needs of her clients, having started her working life as a small business owner. “In the late ’80s early ’90s I was a proud owner of an Australiana shop called ‘True Blue’ nestled in a small town on the east coast of Tasmania called St Helens,” she says. “It was a small gallery showcasing the work of Australian and Tasmanian artists, from beautiful sterling silver jewellery to Indigenous art from NT and paintings from local artists.”
In 1998 she moved into to the restaurant industry, and owned a restaurant called ‘Postreos’. “The hospitality industry is one of the most exciting, challenging and competitive industries I’ve worked in. Having said that, I loved it,” she says.
Helen’s finance career started with a role at Westpac Bank in 2003. “This is the area of banking I love, and I love it because I help people achieve their dreams. From Westpac I moved over to Citibank as a mortgage specialist then into broking.”
Holding a Diploma in Finance & Mortgage Broking, Helen is an MFAA Approved Credit Advisor with expertise in all types of lending, including SMSF lending.
