Our Admin Team - the Crazy Busy Engine Room

Our highly experienced Admin team is there to help you navigate the huge amount of administration involved in the loan process these days. Our Broker Manager will book your appointments and guide you through the extensive documentation required by all lenders to support your application. Our Credit Analysts (CAs) research your scenarios, package your application and submit it. Our Approvals Manager liaises with assessors - who invariably ask more questions - and keeps your application moving in the assessment queue. Our Settlements Officer works with real estate agents, conveyancers and your lender to finally get your loan settled. Finally, our Relationships Managers stay in touch with you moving forward. They'll do an annual pricing check to make sure your loan is still right for you. They're also your first port of call for anything you need post-settlement such as switches or making changes to your rate terms.  They'll book a call or an appointment with your broker or financial advisor should you need anything or have any questions or concerns.

What's your role?

As a loan consultant, it's my job to help you achieve your goals both in the short term and long term. I believe that by providing the right guidance and support, we can work together to make informed decisions and secure the financing you need to succeed.

As a business owner, one of my top priorities is supporting my team. I firmly believe that a happy and motivated team is essential for any business to succeed. That's why I make it a point to create a positive and inclusive work environment where everyone feels valued and respected. By supporting my team, I know that they will be able to perform at their best.

Why do you do what you do?

I love working with people and learning about their lives. Writing loans can be difficult but I find that challenge interesting. I enjoy grappling with lender policies and exhausting every avenue to find the right solution. It's very satisfying when all that hard work positively impacts the lives of people and their families. It's very rewarding. 

What are you known around the office for?

I have a bit of a reputation in the office for talking about football all day and giving everyone a hard time when their team loses.

It's my job to help you turn your goals and objectives into reality by working out your maximum borrowing capacity and building the right foundations with the best lenders, products and structures for now and the future.

Why do you do what you do?

I love helping people. I love working with property. And I love sharing knowledge. What a great way to wake up each day knowing I can do all three to impact someone's life for the better, make a difference to their futures and help them build their wealth.

What are you known around the office for?

For turning my office into a cruise ship.

What's your role?

It's my job to work with you and in your best interests in order to help you achieve all of your financial goals and needs whether it would be through property or any other avenue of finance.

Why do you do what you do?

My passion is helping people. I get to come to work every day and have a profound impact on our client's lives by helping them achieve their property and lifestyle dreams. This is the most fulfilling and rewarding aspect of what I do. It's why I'm a loan consultant and it's why I come to work every day.

What's your role?

I wear two hats on the team. I am a qualified broker so am happy to see you and ascertain your needs to meet your goals and objectives. I'm also a Credit Analyst so I do the lender research, package your application and submit it to your lender. 

Why do you do what you do?

I have been doing this line of work for 25 years now, I just love helping people reach their financial goal either short or long term & buy a property either owner occupied property or an investment property or just simply complete the renovations to their family home.

 

What are you known around the office for?

 I am Captain Compliance.

 What's your role?

My role is Personal Assistant to Peter. I assist Peter with any queries that come through from existing or new clients. I am Peter's right hand and am a “jack of all trades” within the business. As well as being Peter's assistant, I am an administrative support to all of our team.

Why do you do what you do?

I have worked for Peter for the last 12 years and love the team we have here. I love helping our clients achieve their dreams - being purchasing a home, investment property or simply helping them ensure they have the right loan for their needs.

What are you known around the office for?

I am quite a clean freak so I am always making sure our workspace is clean and tidy.

 

 

Sarah Sykes

 

What's your role? 

As Broker Assistant and Admin Strategist it is my job to provide administrative support to our team of brokers & develop strategic initiatives in support of our business goals. I am responsible for developing and implementing administrative processes and procedures that improve efficiency and productivity while maintaining a high level of quality and customer service. 

Why do you do what you do?

I really enjoy helping people and making things run smoothly in my job. Being organized is my thing, and it helps me stay on top of things. I get a lot of satisfaction from knowing that I'm making a positive impact in my workplace, and I'm always looking for ways to improve things even more.

 

What are you know around the office for? 

In the office, I'm known for telling stories. I love making people laugh with my tales.

Trudy Elsdon

What's your role?

I'm a Credit Analyst so it's my job to complete the research for you and your broker. Once you've made your decision I check your supporting documentation and package it up for submission. I then submit your application through the appropriate lender channels on your behalf.

Why do you do what you do?

I have always been a numbers-oriented person, I really enjoy being able to use this strength to benefit our clients with their needs and make sure the numbers all add up. 

What are you known around the office for?

I'm the Kiwi in the mix...there has to be one.

 

 

Jovannie Calago

 
What's your role?

As a Settlement officer, it's my job to work with your lender, solicitor and real estate agent to get you into your new home.

I make sure your mortgage documents are signed, the funds are in your account ready to go and everyone has what they need for your loan to settle on time.

Why do you do what you do?

I like doing things that show results and being a settlement officer gives me satisfaction, knowing that after I have assisted our partners there’s a client achieving and getting their dream home or investments.

What are you known around the office for?

I might be known as someone who is quiet but always works hard with a smile.

 

Jenny Yu

What's your role?

I’m a credit analyst so it’s my job to do research for your loan application, package your loan for submission, submit your application to the lender, and follow it up until we get the approval.

I also help in training the newly onboarded team members and assist them with their queries

I also do construction progress payments

Why do you do what you do?

I love to learn new things and I love working with my Australian colleagues and clients. Being able to continuously learn and expand my knowledge of the Australian Financial Services industry is really great.

What are you known around the office for?

Im known for having the most exciting weekend plans.

 

Jonathan Polinar

What's your role?

I am a Loan Admin Officer. I do a little bit of everything. My role involves checking if you are on the best rate possible, ordering your valuations, following up the lenders on how your loan is progressing and securely saving your private documents.  

Why do you do what you do?

I am still young in the Mortgage Industry but I love building relationships with people and learning new things from my colleagues, lenders and our clients.

What are you know around the office for? 

Being the world's nicest guy. 

Harrison Galea

What's your role?

As Customer Care Manager it is my duty to take care of you both pre and post-settlement. At MCSCW you're a client for life so I will check in with you every six months to make sure you are still happy with your loan. I will conduct annual reviews of your loan to ensure you’re still on the best rate for your circumstances. Should you wish to refinance, switch, or speak to our financial experts, I can book an appointment for you.

Why do you do what you do?

I am new to the financial services industry. But what I enjoy most, is being a part of helping young buyers, like myself, secure their financial future with a first home purchase or investment property.

What are you know around the office for? 

As the youngest member of the Mortgage Choice SCW team, I am known around the office for being the ambitious spring chicken.
