Mortgage Broker

Shan Bott holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Certificate IV in Financial Services and has been a mortgage broker in 2005, becoming a business owner in 2007.

Throughout this time, Shan’s devotion to meeting her clients’ unique needs, coupled with her ability to build long-term client relationships, has earned her a considerable amount of repeat and referral business.

Shan commits herself not only to her clients, but the wider Joondalup community. A wife and mother of a young daughter, Shan still finds time to actively contribute to community organisations. She is involved with Heartkids WA and the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) as a Triathlon Pink participant.

Shan also hosts NBCF charity fundraising events and sponsors two children through World Vision Australia.

“It is both close and central to everything that is important to me – friends, family, social and specialties,” she said.

Following a six-year career with a major bank, Todd moved into mortgage broking in 2002, becoming a business owner in 2007.

His extensive financial experience and customer service commitment enable Todd to assist his clients to achieve their home ownership and investment goals while minimising the stress and confusion often associated with the process. Todd develops strong, nurturing relationships with his clients that have earned him a reputation for his outstanding service.

This client commitment has been rewarded with professional success. His accomplishments have been recognised with numerous awards including being named in The Mortgage Gallery’s top 10 on six occasions. He has also received the Special Achievement Award, The Mortgage Gallery Gold Award and The Mortgage Gallery Diamond Award.

The commitment and service that distinguish Todd from many others are also reflected in his community contributions. He is a strong supporter of HeartKids WA, as well as World Vision, Compassion Australia, Heart Foundation of WA, WA Deaf Society, PMH, and Greenpeace.

In his ‘down time’, Todd is a loyal supporter of the Richmond Tigers and enjoys the fresh, clean air and beautiful beaches of Perth.

Chris Brown started his career in the finance industry in 1986 and his financial talent and strong work ethic earned him numerous promotions throughout his banking career.

In 2005 he moved into mortgage broking, becoming a business owner in 2007.

Chris’s considerable experience has given him the opportunity to master complex financial challenges in a wide range of areas including commercial transactions, and regional and rural lending, allowing him to cater to virtually any finance requirement. His talent and ability to establish strong relationships with lenders and banks has been highly beneficial for his clients and has allowed him to help his clients grow and prosper financially.

Chris’s success was recognised with The Mortgage Gallery’s Special Achievement Award in 2008.

In addition to his professional achievements, Chris is an active community supporter. He is heavily involved with HeartKids WA as a financial member, as well as participant and fundraiser in the Heartkids Cycle Challenge in 2011 and 2012. He served on the Gala Ball Committee from its inception in 2007 until 2012.

Joining the team at Joondalup in 2006 changed Cathy’s life dramatically (in a positive way) and she has never looked back.

Her role includes assisting and processing loans for the brokers, assisting clients from lodgement of their loan application through to settlement and covering any issues relating to the running of the office which may arise throughout the day.

Cathy received the company Administration Member of The Year Award for 2007 and 2008 and was a finalist for this award in 2009 and 2010. In 2011 she received a Special Achievement Award for Administration Member.

Cathy’s personal life centres largely around husband Dean, daughter Courtney and son Trent.

Leonie has worked in the finance industry for 19 years. Prior to joining the Mortgage Choice team in July 2008, Leonie was with Bankwest for 10 years.

Leonie believes listening to her customers’ needs and delivering valuable customer service to the best of her ability are important to her role as a mortgage broker.

Leonie is married with three children. She and her husband Peter love watching her sons play football for the local club in Cervantes. She also loves spending time with her daughter Carly who is a primary school teacher and her many grandchildren.

Mark joined the Mortgage Choice team in 2009 after 20 years in the banking industry with the ANZ Bank. Most of this time was in the retail lending area, and he spent eight years at the Joondalup branch which was the second largest lending branch in Perth.

Mark believes in providing the highest level of customer service. This is shown by the comments from customers who Mark has assisted since joining the team:

On a personal note, Mark is married with three daughters, enjoys fishing, boating, golf, and is a member of the Whitfords Volunteer Sea Rescue.
