Mortgage Broker 

An award-winning banking and finance professional and experienced mortgage broker, Smita considers her biggest strength to be her ‘care factor’ and is passionate about helping her clients navigate their way to home ownership. 

‘My role is to listen to my customers, find out what’s important to them, and provide them with tailored solutions,’ she says. 

Part of Smita’s customer service mandate is to ensure all clients are fully educated about the borrowing process. ‘I focus on providing clear, thorough explanations of fees, the process, and what’s required of my clients, so they know exactly what’s happening and when as their application progresses,’ Smita says. ‘I consider myself to be part of their journey, and I’m here to hold their hand from start to finish, every step of the way.’

Prior to joining Mortgage Choice, Smita worked with one of Australia’s big-four banks for seven years, spending two years in a lending role. ‘During this time, I helped many clients with their home buying journey, reviewing their existing home loans, and providing professional advice and support,’ she says.

A high performer who consistently overachieved on KPI’s throughout her banking career, Smita has successfully completed the Home Buying Academy course and RG146 training. Her personable, caring and friendly nature, combined with her natural flair for numbers, has also attracted professional recognition, and in 2019, she received the bank’s prestigious ‘Best of the Best’ award.

Smita works with clients across the Adelaide metro region, and can assist with home loans, investment home loans, car loans or asset finance.

Vipanpreet brings strong product knowledge and personalised service to assist his customers in their home buying journey.

As a respected and active member of the local Punjabi and Indian community, Vipanpreet is known for providing well-informed, trusted advice. ‘During my career I have learnt that every client’s requirements and objectives are unique,’ he says. ‘Instead of putting everyone in the same boat, I will first take the time to identify what your needs are and then tailor solutions and suggest options for you based on those requirements.’

Vipanpreet has high-level experience in all areas of home lending, business banking, financial planning leads and everyday banking. As well as excellent product and procedural knowledge, he has the ability to deal with complex lending, and expertise in loan structures. Before becoming a mortgage broker, he worked at the Commonwealth Bank for eight years in a variety of roles including Home Lending Specialist. During this time, he was recognised as one of the best new lenders in the SA western area based on his stats, and before finishing off with CBA he had the best in the area ‘Net Promoter Score’ customer feedback.

Vipanpreet’s business ethos is based on honesty and integrity, and he strives to deliver a seamless borrowing experience by keeping his customers’ needs at the centre of everything. ‘I provide great service by offering clear, jargon-free explanations; being reachable and responding to queries in a timely manner; keeping clients in the loop at all stages; and ensuring we are meeting compliance at all times,’ he says.

Vipanpreet can assist clients with home loans, investment loans, car loans and personal loans. He offers a mobile service across north-east SA, northern SA and eastern SA. In addition, he can speak/understand five languages and has been looking after customers from non-English speaking backgrounds including Punjabi, Hindi, Gujarati, Urdu or Harianawi.

Navneet is known for his professionalism, outstanding customer service and for keeping his clients’ best interests front-and-centre at every stage of the borrowing process.

‘I am proud to say that I can care for my customers’ financial wellbeing and enjoy using my skills and knowledge to help put them on track to achieve their goals,’ he says.

After establishing his clients’ expectations and assessing their current circumstances, Navneet undertakes extensive research on their behalf, carefully comparing interest rates, costs, fees, and charges between different lenders, as well as identifying the features that will deliver maximum benefit over the long term.

Navneet is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi, and is always keen to help other immigrants. ‘I migrated to Australia from India in 2008 and understand the difficulties that people often face when they come to Australia and need to find their way forward financially,’ he says.

He’s continuously looking for ways to improve his service delivery and uses technology to expedite the application process and maintain open lines of communication with clients. 

Navneet brings a big-picture focus to every client relationship and invests time in building trust and rapport. ‘The average home loan runs from 25 to 30 years. I will maintain a long-term relationship with my clients to ensure their loan continues to perform well for them as their needs change.’

Navneet holds a range of qualifications including a Diploma in Finance & Mortgage broking and a Master’s degree in Economics. He has 18 years’ experience in the financial services sector and a proven track record in banking and finance sales, customer service and operations. Prior to becoming a mortgage broker, he worked in Travelex, a global foreign exchange company. ‘I held a range of different roles from sales consultant to senior team leader, managed a team and was responsible for a number of business functions including audit compliance with AUSTRAC, SMR reports, goal-setting with team and their performance check.’

Specialising in home loans, investment property loans, complex lending and asset finance, Navneet is a fully mobile mortgage broker and available to assist clients right across the Adelaide area, seven days a week.
