I've made a name for myself in the world of finance and entrepreneurship, starting my journey in 2004 with a retail banking role at ANZ in New Zealand. Since then, I've climbed the ladder of success and made a name for myself in the industry.
In 2006, I transferred to ANZ Bank in Australia and took on a supervisory role in retail banking. Then, in 2007, I moved into a mortgage specialist role at ANZ, where I quickly made a name for myself as a top performer.
In 2009, I joined Mortgage Choice in Brisbane City as an employed loan writer, and over the next few years, I worked my way up the ladder, eventually moving into general management in 2011. I proved to be a valuable asset to the company, and in 2015, I transitioned to ownership of Mortgage Choice in Brisbane City, taking over from the previous owner who was retiring.
Since then, I've expanded my business and acquired multiple franchises of Mortgage Choice in Brisbane City, Brisbane North, and soon-to-open Newstead. As the owner of three franchise areas around the Greater Brisbane Region, my business is responsible for the procurement of clients to assist with their home, investment, personal, commercial, and development financing requirements. As a brokerage, we don't lend our own money but arrange loans through 30+ different lenders.
Throughout my ownership period, I've started, acquired, and sold a number of franchises within the Mortgage Choice network, proving my skills as an astute entrepreneur and business operator, with a firm focus on the experience of the customer.
In 2020, I founded The Proper Group Pty Ltd, a boutique property management business focused on using and developing technology solutions to deliver a "high touch experience" while reducing the admin load and enabling agencies to operate with a lean human resource requirement.
And in 2021, I co-founded 4000 Studios, Australia's largest complex of individual recording studios, housing ten permanent artists, three industry-sponsored studios, and a purpose-built podcast suite.
Outside of work, I'm a devoted family man, happily married to my wife Hanna since 2013. We have two children together - Chase, who's almost 14, and Miller (aka "Millie"), who's 6. When I'm not running my businesses or spending time with my family, I enjoy indulging in my passions for motorsport, sports, and Crossfit. I'm also a loyal supporter of the Brisbane Broncos, the local NRL team. All in all, I know how to juggle multiple ventures while still finding time for my personal interests.
Hanna is one of our franchise owners at Mortgage Choice, a role she has passionately occupied since 2015. Hanna's role within our team is to manage a dynamic team, both onshore and offshore, prioritising their well-being above all. With a great eye for detail, Hanna excels in event management and marketing, ensuring seamless operations and execution.
Hanna's superpower is her excellent communication skills. She thrives on engaging with people, listening to their life stories, and learning from their experiences.
Outside of work, Hanna is a devoted mother to her two children, Miller, 6, and Chase, 14. She shares her home with two rescue cats, showcasing her compassionate nature and love for animals. Hanna also loves attending Crossfit and Pilates classes, finding these workouts as a necessary balance to her busy professional life.

She serves as the first point of contact and expertly manages all phone calls, while also taking charge of various administrative responsibilities. However, her true passion lies in supporting the business through day-to-day marketing activities across multiple social platforms.
During her free time, Danel pursues her love for baking, gaining a reputation for crafting delectable cakes that leave taste buds dancing with delight. Alongside her baking adventures, she finds joy in the company of her cherished feline companions, Sonny and Bug, whom she lavishes with care and affection. Gardening serves as another fulfilling hobby, allowing her to unwind.
