Ryan and Karen were wonderful, they were able to resolve a long standing credit rating puzzle that was stopping me from having financial validity and ease. The only thing I would say in a negative way is that other loans seemed to be given urgent priority and it took a bit longer than I had expected, and in the beginning I would have liked to have 1 or 2 more opportunities of phone conversations instead of email, however I totally understand that they are busy servicing many clients/loans. Extremely thrilled with the friendly and professional manner in which my case was dealt with and very, very appreciative to have this riddle solved. Thank you Ryan.

Overall the service was fantastic and the outcome exceeded my expectations.
I had to change the title on our house because it was in my maiden name, if I had known, I could have done it weeks earlier. Also I found it wasn't necessary to hire a solicitor, I was able to do it myself.

Fantastic service
During my loan process I was assisted by Karen Le Comte's associate and Loans Administrator Erin Le Comte, whilst Erin secured me a very good rate with the banks and was friendly, approachable and always available to answer my questions within an appropriate time frame, it would have been answered my questions quickly it would have been good to have had some contact with Karen as her name was the Loan documentation. Sonia Mackenzie has since been in contact me with since my loan settled. Sonia also called me the day before settlement and also sent an update with the date of my first loan repayment and amount which was also helpful.
Since my new bank account has been opened, I’ve only received a debit visa card this week (05/09/2016) and have since been in contact with St George to open another offset account in order to be able to make every day transactions. Up until receiving the first debit visa card I’ve been unable to use the initial account to make necessary transactions and have had to rely on using my credit card.
I would however still recommend Smartline to friends and family as they take the hassle and stress that’s associated with completing the loan documentation paperwork etc. and offer very competitive rates.

Having had some not-so-good experiences with advisers elsewhere I was a bit worried about meeting with Anthony - but what a pleasant surprise! Our experience with Smartline was a rollercoaster mainly because of dramas we experienced with the commonwealth bank. Smartline Cleveland were very good at following up our concerns with the bank and getting back to us. Our experience this time compared to last time (aprox 4yrs ago)however was in my opinion not as good. Karen LeComte looked after our affairs 4yrs ago and was very thorough. This year we seemed to deal with many different assistants, making the expereince less personal and more complicated. Overall I would recommend Smartline Cleveland.

My loan was not an easy one to secure and I came with a lot of baggage. low income,single mother of 2,recently separated,but these girls made me feel like part of their family they were looking after. I tried banks myself but got rejection after rejection which made my self worth even lower. I don't know how they did it but I am finally in my own home and have passed on their names to many of my friends. I couldn't have done it without them, forever grateful.

This was my second round with Karen at Smartline and a little more complex - refinance/investment loan and a homeloan as well. Karen's advice was invaluable in making us aware of how to capitalise on our current home while minimising the debt for our new home. Even though the entire process dragged out over 6 months due to employment instability Karen remained informed about our options and it was almost as though the 6 month delay never existed. Even when Karen was overseas the Smartline team, particularly Jackie Klees, made the process not quite painless but certainly endurable. I would say more but we have just moved from Dalby and Melanie and I are now too busy transforming our house plus 3 acres on the Sunshine Coast into a home, and for this we cannot say "Thankyou" enough.

Karen went out of her way to assist. She met us after hours knowing my partner could not make it in business hours. We had a complex situation and when we found the initial solution may not be the best one, she redid all the paperwork and found us the best loans. The only reason I would not give a 10 is that we have had a little hiccup with our redraw facility and had to contact smartline several times to fix but that is now solved.

Karen and her team, in particular Marissa Dixon, went above and beyond the service I expected to receive from my first time using a mortgage adviser. Our family was in the middle of a lengthy subdivision and building project when the unforeseen happened and we needed to split things in two. Not only did Karen help us to refinance from our long-standing bank to not one, but two more suitable lenders, she also spent considerable time and effort searching for an equitable strategy and solution that would suit all involved. Her efforts meant we didn't have to sell any part of the project, it smoothed the way for a happier financial resolution for our family change and kept our assets where they should be - with us. Karen also liaised with our builder and negotiated an extraordinarily flexible arrangement to delay payments until the refinancing was completed, and the whole time our builder kept on building on Karen's assurance. In short, Karen led us through a complex maze of re-financing and saved us not only time and a small fortune in solicitors fees but helped us retain our asset base - at a cheaper mortgage rate of course. Karen and her team did a great job and I'm pleased with the results. I'm keen to see the after sales service as anyone can set up a loan it's what they deliver after that made me pick Smartline. There were a few things with the NAB loan I took I will mention. 1)I was told the NAB would not open my account until after the loan went through so I had to put my pay in a tempory account which I did. The NEXT day I get a letter from the NAB with my account details saying the account is ready to use. I then had to go back and have my pay set up to the NAB account. 2)I ask did my new loan have a cheque book with it and was told we might be able to get one but I said don't worry. Next week I got a cheque book from the NAB ?. 3)There was a similar story with my credit card but I will not bore you with that as still going on. These problems were not the fault of Karen and her team but I did start thinking does the NAB know what they are doing and what have I gotten my self into. There was one thing I found very unprofessional and a bit ordinary on one of my visits to the Raby Bay office. Late in the afternoon when I arrived there was a grown teenage boy asleep on the customers waiting lounge in reception with his bum crack showing. Not a good look as you walk in the door.
