Derek is an absolute legend. This is the third time we have used him to organise our finances, and each time he has gone above and beyond in looking after us.
Our most recent business with him was for a slightly complicated re-mortgage, but Derek found a competitive lender, guided us all the way, providing advice on additional steps we needed to take to make things happen. Needless to say, we are very, very happy clients and are now saving hundreds of dollars a month as a result.

Derek pulled off the impossible. I think we had 7 working days for me to obtain finance to purchase a dream property out from underneath another purchaser.
Derek also refinanced am investment property mid 2020 and I'll be definitely knocking on his door again this year.

Best in the business! Derek made such a scary/stressful thing for myself and my partner so much easier! We had a poor experience with another broker who just wanted our money but Derek sat down with us and went through literally everything and answered every dumb question we had. I was clueless about buying a house in Australia.
Derek helped me at every step starting from the basics.
Derek was thorough and professional. He made sure that the all the required documentation was in place before we went ahead with the application. There were no hassles in getting a loan and the bank did not have to check anything again which meant there was no to and fro happening between the bank, Derek and us.
Apart from that Derek also provided useful tips when it came to buying a house. This was helpful in the setting the dates and the negotiation.
If you are looking for someone who is considerate and meticulous, Derek is the go-to person. 100% recommended.

Derek from Mortgage Choice Carindale was an enormous help in obtaining a home loan to buy our first home. Derek has a wealth of knowledge within this industry and we would highly recommend his services to anyone wishing to buy or build a house. Without his help, we would not be in the exciting, initial stages of building our first home. This is the second time we have gone to Derek at Mortgage Choice, Carindale. He was so helpful and easy to talk to the first time, there was no question of who to see when we needed to renegotiate our mortgage. Both times, Derek found the perfect financial package to suit our needs, explained the pros and cons so that we could make an informed decision and kept us regularly up to date along the way. He took the time to answer our questions at any time of day and on weekends. On a number of occasions I would send an email outside of normal business hours, expecting a reply the next day, only to have Derek call us immediately after the email had been sent. That’s customer service at its best! And once settlement has taken place, Derek continues to look after his customers. On our previous mortgage, and without any prompting from us, he negotiated a reduced interest rate with the lender in our behalf. This was two years after settlement and led to an increased saving on our repayments! We will definitely be contacting Derek for our future financial needs!
Derek is EXTREMELY knowledgeable, hard-working, professional and friendly. This was our first home and we're so fortunate that we had Derek with us throughout our experience and if we were to do this all over again, we would want no one but Derek as our Mortgage Broker. Derek McLeod was an enormous help when searching lenders for our first mortgage and it gave us huge peace of mind knowing he was helping us. He not only proved to be highly committed but he was also very approachable and kept in touch through the whole process. We bought our house two years ago and he's still helping us by getting us better interest rates. We would highly recommend him and we'll definitely seek his help in our next purchase.
