The home loan application process!

When you decide it's time to purchase a property, it's likely you'll need to apply for a home loan. So to help you understand what you need to do to prepare a home loan application, we've outlined the steps below and included a short video. 1. The first step in the home application process is to verify your identity. To help with this step, we will need a copy of the following:

  • Passport
  • Driver's licence
  • Medicare card

2. We will then ask for a copy of your bank statements. This includes statements for any savings, transaction, home loan & offset, personal loan and credit card accounts. This is how the banks will determine your financial position.

3. Lastly, banks will ask to see proof of your income. They want to see what you earn in order to calculate how much you can borrow. Proof of income documents may include recent payslips and ATO income (PAYG) statements if you are an employee; or tax returns if you are self-employed. If you're unsure what documents you need, just ask our team, and we can guide you through the process.
