Mortgage Choice chief executive officer John Flavell is set to brave the elements in a bid to raise much needed funds for 100,000 plus homeless Australians.
The 2015 Vinnies CEO Sleepout is an annual charity event that aims to raise both money and awareness for the ongoing homeless problem in Australia.
The Sleepout initiative offers CEOs and other executive participants a small glimpse into what life is like for the 100,000 Australians who currently live on the streets.
Speaking about his participation in the event, Mr Flavell said it was important for the community to come together and raise much needed funds to support those people who find themselves facing homelessness.
“I am deeply proud to be able to take part in this year's 2015 Vinnies CEO Sleepout. To be able to raise money for such a worthwhile cause is truly rewarding,” he said.
“Further, being able to experience just a fragment of what homeless Australians face on a daily basis will be a very humbling experience for me and, I am sure, every other CEO in attendance.”
With the latest weather warnings forecasting wild rain and maximum temperatures of 12 degrees Celsius, it would seem all attendees are in for a rough night - not that Mr Flavell is concerned.
“Bring it on,” he said.
