Mortgage Choice is thrilled to announce its fundraising efforts in the lead up to Christmas have exceeded expectations, helping the national mortgage broker to raise since October 2011 over $145,000 in support of its charity partner, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).
This achievement was highlighted on Tuesday, 18 December 2012 during a presentation at Randwick House, one of the Ronald McDonald Houses in New South Wales. At the special event, Mortgage Choice CEO Michael Russell, staff and franchise owners took the opportunity to present Christmas gifts and household goods to families currently living in the house and RMHC representatives.
Mr Russell said, “It's gratifying to know that so many Mortgage Choice franchisees and staff have dug deep at this time of year to donate money and every day household items to assist Ronald McDonald House Charities in the running of its vital service.”
“We are delighted to have been working with Ronald McDonald House Charities for over 12 months now and to have raised over $145,000 is very rewarding. Our donation equates to approximately 1,600 nights of accommodation at a Ronald McDonald House for Australian families with a seriously ill child.
“I know I can speak on behalf of our franchise network and staff to say that we are committed to raising even more in 2013!”
In addition to Mortgage Choice's Christmas appeal, the company's franchise network has hosted a variety of fundraising events for the charity throughout the year. The states' respective franchise owners and their staff, company staff, lenders and suppliers have donated to RMHC by way of the WA Golf Day, SA/NT Cocktail Evening, NSW/ACT Band Night, QLD Golf Day and the VIC/TAS Tan Challenge.
These events, coupled with Mortgage Choice's national fundraising events, staff salary donations, contributions per loan settled, plus sausage sizzles, raffles and the time spent volunteering at RMHC houses, have brought the partnership closer to home.
