Mortgage Choice has appointed Margie Cannizzo to the role of State Manager Vic/Tas effective 1 September 2020.

Margie’s appointment follows the departure of Mr Max Billi who previously held the role until July 2020. Reporting through to David Zammit, General Manager Distribution, the State Manager is responsible and accountable for the outcomes in the State in relation to recruitment, development of the franchise teams and overall business growth.

Speaking about Margie’s appointment, Mr Zammit said “Margie brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to the role, having worked in the financial services sector for over 18 years. She has held a variety of leadership, sales management and business development roles which have seen her responsible for establishing and executing on business development, sales and marketing strategies.”

“Margie has a strong understanding of the mortgage broking industry, having seen first-hand the valuable contributions brokers make to Australian borrowers in her roles as broker Business Development Manager at CitiBank and ANZ,” said Mr Zammit.

Prior to joining Mortgage Choice, Margie was the State Manager for Wealth Management and previously held the role of Broker Business Development Manager at Citi. Margie has also held several roles with ANZ including Sales Manager for ANZ Pacific and Business Development Manager and Sales and Training Manager.
